There are few lights more iconic than the Akari lamps. Originally designed by Isamu Noguchi in 1951, today the delicate Japanese ‘light sculptures’ are immediately recognisable, beloved, and featured in homes near and far — including plenty here on TDF!

Each Akari is still handmade from paper and bamboo, by the original manufacturer in Japan that’s been using the same traditional techniques for half a century.

Here in Australia, you can get your hands on these dreamy paper lights at In Good Company. The family-owned furniture, lighting, and homewares retailer has become one of our go-to places to shop leading contemporary designs from around the world, ever since the local business launched in 2019.

That’s why we’ve teamed up with In Good Company to giveaway an Akari 1A Lamp to one lucky reader, simply for answering our annual reader survey!

We want to hear from you about what TDF content you love, and what you want to see even more of in 2024.

All you have to do to go in the running is fill out the survey below with your valuable feedback before 11:59pm (AEDT) on Wednesday January 24. Read the terms and conditions here.

Good luck!
