Ideas on Productivity
Three-thirty-itis is a thing! Just ask the guys at our local coffee shop around the corner. If you, too, are in need of a little pep-up around this time on an overwhelming Monday, we’re doing our best to oblige with ‘Quoted’ – a new short and snappy series of inspiring quotes from our fave local creatives.
First up, we turn to artist and co-founder of Dinosaur Designs, Stephen Ormandy, graphic designer / illustrator Kat Macleod, who is also the Creative Director at Ortolan, and stylist / influencer Stephanie Stamatis (aka Stephanie Somebody) on the subject of productivity.
For Stephen Ormandy the artist, productivity looks after itself as he works away exploring new ideas. In his design life, as co-founder of Dinosaur Designs, maximising productivity us crucial, and he’s highly aware of falling into the procrastination trap. Photo – Nikki To for The Design Files.
Stylist, art director, and business owner Stephanie Stamatis is all about a productivity-inducing playlist – Drake is her go-to at the moment! Kat Macleod is the Creative Director at Ortolan, a graphic designer and illustrator. She’s also a mother to Jimmy (aged 6), and twins Abe and Winnie (nearly 4). While Kat jokes that they may be her ‘productivity enemies’, play with her kids is also a time to refresh, and motivates her to dive back into things afterwards.
