GOOD MORNING! Now as you all know, in keeping with our annual tradition, we thought this sleepy time over Christmas and New Year would be a good time to take a little break, take stock of all the highlights this past year, and make some grand plans for even more inspired projects in 2014!
BUT it’s not
strictly a week off. We couldn’t possibly leave The Design Files totally silent! Instead, as we did last year, we’ll be spending this week and next week re-visiting The
BEST OF Australian Homes from 2013! We’ve gone back through the archives and based on pageviews, your comments, and a little of our own personal bias(!), we’ve shortlisted our most popular Australian Homes of 2013. We’ll re-visit each of these favourite homes from today until next Friday January 3rd, and will be resume regular programming once more from Monday January 6th.
We’re kicking things off today with a seriously amazing family home that won many hearts when we blogged it back in January -
The Jan Juc home of Kirsty Davey and family!
Kirsty Davey rents this home on Victoria's surf coast with her partner Simon Taylor and 3 year old Mali – they’ve been here five years now. She says there’s a lot about the home she wouldn’t necessarily have chosen herself (!!), but somehow, the mish mash of textures and colours really do work to create a gorgeous relaxed, rambling family home.
Do pop back to the original post for more pics of this fabulous beachy family home!
