A few of our favourite finds from new Sydney-based online store Girl & Graaf. 1) Alacati towel, 2) Uashmama terracotta scaldapane (bread warmer in washable paper bread bag), 3) Jacinta leather bag, 4) tiny mother of pearl stackable ring, 5) Embroidered arrows cushion by Coral & Tusk, 6) ‘For the Love’ gold necklace, and 7) Swedish dream sea salt soap.
We just stumbled across this super cute new Australian online store… Girl & Graaf is the creation of Sydney-based Lauren Davidson and her fella Simon De Graaf. It’s still very early days for Girl & Graaf, but they stock such a sweet edit of homewares and gifts… we thought it was worth a little mention!
There’s a little bit of a holiday / beachy vibe going on here… think espadrilles in cheerful summer prints, lightweight cotton beach towels, tote bags, nautical notecards and other pretty trinkets. It’s all muted neutral tones, and simple, classic pieces. I particularly love the embroidered cushions by Coral & Tusk – so lovely!
Dreamt up on a road trip to Byron Bay, Girl & Graaf exemplifies Lauren and Simon’s shared passion for travel, cooking and all things vintage. They particularly love rummaging for treasures in homewares stores, antique houses and markets – ‘if it’s cluttered, we’ll rummage’ says Lauren!
Lauren oversees the creative decisions at Girl & Graaf – taking care of product selection, graphic design and photo shoots. With experience in construction and carpentry, Simon brings the business acumen and planning skills to the business!
Aside from launching their online shop, this industrious pair are also both juggling fulltime work with study. Simon is studying a Masters of Business and Technology at UNSW, whilst Lauren recently left a corporate career behind to pursue a Masters of Cross-Disciplinary Art and Design at COFA…. Sheesh, sounds like one busy little household!
