Fabulous goodies from new online store Hello Polly!  From top left - My Favourite Place Pillow by Lucky Boy Sunday, timber necklaces by Snug Studio, Cloud Bread Board by Snug Studio, Twinkle Clock by Decoy Lab, Ceramics by The Mod Collective, Aviary poster by Alice Melvin.
Hello Polly is a fab new Melbourne-based online shop with a super cute and very affordable selection of homewares, gifts and accessories from both local and international designers.

The clever lass behind this venture is NZ-born, Melbourne-based Sarah Kelk, who worked in various gallery and design spaces in NZ and Europe before settling in Melbourne last year.  Sarah studied art history and design, and established art/design space The Red Door Gallery in Edinburgh, Scotland in 2004, which she ran until her husband was offered a job in Melbourne late last year.

'We had always hoped to end up in Melbourne at some point' says Sarah. 'After years running The Red Door, it only seemed natural to continue along a similar vein once arriving in Melbourne. I love the creative outlook that Melbourne as a city has, and am thrilled to be able to add something to that, in our own way. We are still busy exploring all the treasures that this city has to offer, but so far, love all of it!'  Yes, Melbourne rocks, we concur. :)

Hello Polly has such a well edited collection of goodies, you can really tell Sarah has a keen eye for design and a knack for discovering new talent.  I love the fact that there are so many international designers whose work I haven't seen in Melbourne before - alongside lots of local favourites such as Victoria Mason and new ceramics brand Mod Collective.

Hello Polly hopes to open a physical shopfront soon - in the meantime you can find everything online! OH and Hello Polly also has a really excellent blog!
