The Design Files / Bloom Nail Polish colours!

Oh my.  Can you BELIEVE your blog-reading eyeballs?!  Ooohhhhh YES!  These very classy new nail polish shades are the result of a collaboration between Melbourne-based cosmetics company Bloom and The Design Files, and they launch TODAY!

Since interviewing Natalie Bloom in late 2009 we have been emailing a little on-and-off… but I certainly wasn’t expecting an email in August last year, in which she asked if I would be interested in collaborating on a nail polish shade for Bloom’s ‘Designer Collection’!  After initial starstruck excitement / hyperventilation, of course I accepted!  HOWEVER, I couldn’t decide on just ONE shade, it was just too hard to choose between my two all-time favourite nail colours – barely-there nude and deep red / almost black.  Lucky for me, Natalie agreed to make BOTH!   I actually wanted to also name them (how fun!) – but Natalie insisted they should have my name… ‘Lucy I’ and ‘Lucy II’.  Ohmigawd.  ok then.  :)

SO HERE THEY ARE!  The Design Files nail polish duo!

Lucy I – Demure, flesh-tone ballerina pink
Lucy II – Glossy, deep (almost black) red.

They are $19.95 each, and most importantly, $2 from the sale of each of these polishes is donated to Children’s Hospital Foundations Australia.

Whilst you should defo buy yourself at least one of these shades to do your bit for the Children’s Hospital Foundation, today you can also try your luck at WINNING them!  Natalie and her sweet team at Bloom HQ have put together 10 x Nail Care pamper packs for 10 of you guys to win!  Each winner will receive the items pictured below – both Lucy I and Lucy II nail colours, a clear top coat polish, love-heart toe separators (for the perfect pedi), and a signature Bloom nailfile!

To be in the running to win one of these gorgeous Bloom mani/pedi panmper packs, just leave a comment on this post before midnight tonight (Melbourne time), and 10 winners will be selected at random and notified by email tomorrow!  If you subscribe to these posts by email, please don’t reply to your daily email, just pop over to thedesignfiles.net.

HUGE thanks to Natalie for inviting me to be part of this very special collaboration, and to the clever and gorgeous Evie and Tia at Bloom for organising the giveaway!   It’s pretty cool to be able to say I have at least one thing in common with Jessica Mauboy…..

Bloom Giveaway for 10 lucky TDF readers!  Lucy I and Lucy II nail colours, a clear top coat polish, love-heart toe separators (for the perfect pedi), and a signature Bloom nailfile.  Comment today to be in the running!

A beautiful pair, both colours and collaboration. How exciting for you, Lucy, and how thrilling to have two delectable shades to choose from. I, too, favour the subtle ballerina whisper pinks and darkest reds at opposite end of the polish scale. Perhaps it is the nature of opposites.

Please, throw my name into the hat. I’d be chuffed to win a little something,
