Oooh la la today marks a very special day in Design Files land!  Allow me to explain.

Australian Homes are the MOST popular content on this site by far.  You guys just can't seem to get enough snooping into other peoples' homes... and neither can I!  Since launching Australian Homes posts on a regular basis every Wednesday, The Design Files' readership has increased 200%!  And unlike many other sites, we do our very best to source homes you haven't seen elsewhere, and photograph them in person wherever possible.  It's a big job but someone's gotta do it!

This year, in order to continue sourcing and sharing new inspiring Australian Homes, and to broaden the search to include many more homes from across Australia, we have enlisted the generous support of a local company who also know a thing or two about Australian Homes - Rogerseller!

I am SO excited for this new relationship with a local design company that I have long admired.  (I must admit I DO have Rogerseller taps in my bathroom, having spent many hours wandering their showroom last year when in the midst of DIY bathroom renovation!)

Rogerseller has been around since 1896 (can you believe it?), originally founded by (and named after) John J Rogers.  At that time the business was located in the CBD, and started out specialising in fireplaces and grates!  In 1910 Mr Seller joined the business, and in 1920 Mr Myhill jumped on board - forming the name 'Rogers Seller & Myhill' (My Mum still calls it that actually).

Rogerseller has since spanned 3 generations, now employs 80 staff, and of course has grown to manufacture and retail their own premium tapware and tiles, as well as importing very posh international design brands.  Rogerseller products can be spotted in many famous Melbourne businesses and building - including Flemington Racecourse,  the original Park Hyatt and Melbourne Town Hall.

You will notice, when you check out today's Australian Home tour, a very slick little banner from Rogerseller up the top.  Give it a click and you will be transported to Rogerseller's website... their products are SO beautiful and the site is well worth a browse for bathroom and kitchen inspiration!

For the next couple of months Rogerseller's friendly banner will be joining us every Wednesday for Australian Homes - please make them feel welcome!
