This week we welcome illustration superstar Milan aka Moofus to the Guest Blog! Moofus is only 13 (!!!) and whilst at that age I was really into the musical stylings of Hanson and figuring out which one of them I would marry, Moofus has already had artwork commissioned by the likes of Dwell  Magazine and FBi Radio. This week we’re super excited to have Moofus share some of his illustrations with us, and give an insight into the inspiration behind them. – Jenny x

Hello, thankyou for having me Lucy and Jenny!

My name is Milan my nickname is Moofus, I’m 13 and I live in Sydney. I’ve only lived in Australia since I was 9 and a 1/2 and moved with my parents from London, where I was born. I started drawing to earn money when we first moved here, as it was in the Summer holidays and I knew no one here. I also wanted to earn money to donate to the International Animal Rescue to help save the bears and I still give a percentage of all my sales to the charity. I love skateboarding, drawing and video games; drawing buildings and architecture is my favorite.

Right now I’m drawing a new set to make into prints from photographs of the Palm Springs Racquet club which were taken by our friend Sandi – who writes for the design site Aqua Velvet.

In Sydney, my favourite places to go and skateboard are Chifley and Circular Quay. At the weekend it’s always quiet in the city where the office buildings are so we skate there and then go and sit down at Circular Quay and eat and people-watch. We like seeing what people do when they think no one is watching!
