Queen B Earth Hour candle giveaway!

Queen B eco-bulb duo pack

Now I KNOW we have already had one giveaway this week – but I have had so many seriously gorgeous and generous giveaway offers in the last couple of weeks, and I just can’t help but want to share all these lovely things with you guys! (There may or may not be even more giveaway magic in store next week…. crazy, I know… just roll with it!)

ANYWAY. The very clever Cate of Queen B candles was thrilled to see her products on the site earlier this month, and sent me a very sweet email in response – also reminding me about Earth Hour next Saturday March 27th, 8.30pm…! To mark this special evening, Cate would love to share a Queen B Earth Hour giveaway with one lucky Design Files reader!

Queen B’s generous prize pack is valued at $235.00, and includes -

1 x eco-bulb duo pack
1 x box 9 hour beeswax tealights

1 x 4 pack rolled beeswax tapers

1 x sculptural bee vessel

The perfect package to ensure your household is well-prepared for very special Earth Hour next weekend!

In 2009 hundreds of millions of people around the world showed their support of Earth Hour by simply turning off their lights for one hour. Earth Hour offers a unique opportunity to be involved in this simple, powerful global gesture of solidarity and responsiblity for our environment and future.

I love the idea of spending an hour in candlelight – hopefully perhaps in conversation with loved ones rather than glued to a TV or computer screen! I can’t remember the last time I ate by candlelight, but this seems like the perfect excuse for a very special, thoughtful (perhaps even romantic!?) evening!

To be in the running for Queen B’s Earth Hour giveaway, simply leave a comment here before midnight tonight, and a winner will be randomly selected and announced tomorrow. Please note – if you subscribe to my posts by email only, you can’t enter by replying to this email, you must visit www.thedesignfiles.net and leave your comment directly on the webpage to be in the running! Thankyou and good luck!

Queen B rolled tapered candles (top) and tealights (bottom)

Queen B’s sculptural bee vessels are not conventionally useful – they cannot be burned! Instead they are sculptural objects, painstakingly hand made from a thin, translucent layer of beeswax about 2mm thick. Every bee vessel is unique.

Earth Hour is a wonderful initiative, not least because it inspires us to switch off the lights and light candles regularly, rather than reserving the ritual for special occasions. Everyone should make a beeline for the Queen B range – and save the planet while enjoying time for quiet reflection to nurture the human spirit.
