This Martha Cove Home/Studio Is Open For Inspection

Danielle Trovato takes the sweetest portraits, and it turns out she’s also got an intuitive eye for simple, joyful, interior styling too!

The photographer has just listed her open-plan family pad (with studio!) on the market. We’re more than a little enticed to take a trip down the Mornington Peninsula Freeway and stop in for the inspection!

Located in a quiet cul-de-sac off the Safety Beach marina, photographer Danielle Trovato’s home with studio is a beach-loving creative’s dream!

Completed in 2018 and designed by Mikayla Rose of Heartly, the four-bedroom residence includes a large photo studio. This mezzanine space offers views of Mount Martha and, if you’re a little more short-sighted, also down to the open-plan kitchen and living zones! Danielle has used this space for portraiture work, parties, and to her 9-year-old it’s a dance studio!

The bright and airy home features cathedral ceilings, skylights, and huge windows… plus there’s also lots of clever storage as the home is designed to maximise space. ‘It’s quite unassuming from its small exterior and the first thing people say when they first come in is, “WOW it’s so big and spacious”,’ tells Danielle.

Interiors draw on a beachy colour palette, dominated by crisp white and soft pastel hues throughout. Another standout is the kitchen, with its shaker-style v-groove cabinetry, oak floorboards, Terrazzo tiles, and integrated appliances.

Outside, there is an undercover deck and a compact, low-maintenance garden. ‘It has been an amazing space to entertain in, because the back doors open right up to the deck and yard, and everything still feels really connected,’ explains Danielle.

All sounds like a place you wouldn’t want to leave, right? so, why are Danielle and her family moving on? ‘Like so many, I have watched and been incredibly inspired by Courtney Adamo and her family adventures,’ explains Danielle. ‘I’m not sure if we’d be able to take a gap-year as such… but we will definitely set aside some time for overseas travel!’
