Since opening its Byron Bay store in 2018, Tigmi Trading has established a reputation for sourcing beautiful, handcrafted homewares from around the world. From artisan Berber rugs loomed in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains to handmade ceramic treasures from cult-favourite Moroccan brand LRNCE, everything is curated by the keen and thoughtful eye of owner and founder Danielle McEwan.

Now the brand is moving closer to home with a long-anticipated in-house line of furniture! The ‘Organic’ table collection comprises two dining tables and one coffee table in three sizes designed to stand alone or ‘nest’ within each other. Made from locally-sourced timber, each table is finished with a micro-cement coating to give the look and feel of a solid cement structure. The sculptural, five-piece collection is handmade to order by local Byron artisans.

We love the curvaceous, slightly wobbly forms that give this designer collection an organic, natural feeling.  If these first pieces are anything to go by,  this is the beginning of a long and beautiful foray into furniture design for Tigmi!

The ‘Organic’ collection launches Thursday, July 23rd. You can browse the range here.
