The Other Art Fair takes place across some of the world’s cultural capitals, from Brooklyn to London and now, it’s headed back to Melbourne!

Taking place from May 26 to May 29 at Meat Market in North Melbourne, the event will bring together 100 independent artists with a showcase of immersive installations, performances, live DJ sets and original, innovative works.

It’s all part of The Other Art Fair’s global mission to ‘reframe art’ and how it’s experienced, so you can expect a program full of boundary-pushing fun and surprises.

Shop affordable art directly from some of Australia’s most exciting up-and-coming artists, get involved in Bombay Sapphire’s Stir Creative interactive quiz for a complimentary cocktail on the house, or grab a bite to eat from some of Melbourne’s favourite street food vendors.

Some of the featured artists include Anahita Amouzegar, who specialises in colourful abstract paintings, mixed-media creator Amanda Johnstone and the surreal creations of Dan Withey. Visitors can even buy their first NFT and explore the enigmatic world of virtual art, guided by the artists themselves. Whether you’re a first-time buyer or looking to add to your collection, The Other Art Fair has you covered.

Plus if you’re feeling particularly impulsive, renowned tattoo artists @lily_gloria_tattoo, @kitstattoo and @reallynicepoke will be doing hand-poked tattoos on a first-come, first-served basis!
