Is there anything better than a good gallery gift shop? Thanks to its current Museum of Modern Art instalment, the NGV design store has upped its offerings! Local designers Lauren Steller of Champ Design and Phebe Parisia, a tattoo artist and jewellery maker, have created an exclusive range of contemporary jewellery from the NGV Design Store, responding to works featured in the current exhibition on loan from New York’s MoMA

Known for her signature diamond shaped coasters made of recycled tyre rubber, Lauren has  developed a collection of sustainable earrings in a Bauhaus palette, inspired by the early twentieth century avant-garde art movements.

Jumping forward a few decades, Phebe’s commission draws from elements of the punk aesthetic in a series of industrial acrylic earrings. Each pair has been hand-finished by Phoebe  featuring etched line details created by her tattoo gun.

Both limited-edition ranges are available exclusively from the NGV Design Store, at prices ranging from $49-$60.
