Since the time of publication, TarraWarra Museum of  Art has advised that the outdoor activities on Saturday, March 30th will be canceled due to extreme weather conditions.

This weekend the TarraWarra Museum of Art will be throwing open the doors for two days of curated creative events as part of their Open Weekend celebrations. Located in Victoria’s Yarra Valley wine region, the Museum is home to seasonal exhibitions of modern Australian art in a spectacular architectural environment.

The free, family-friendly event sees a host of incredible local artists involved in a weekend packed full of activities. A Makers’ Market will take place over both days with 25 artists, makers and designers selling their handmade wares. Watch the development of a massive piece of art created in real time by Australian artist Ash Keating, who will turn a 10-metre long billboard into a vibrant, site-responsive outdoor artwork. Drop-by landscape sketching classes and kid’s creative workshops will be running all weekend. Enjoy free entry into the Museum’s latest exhibitions, Tracey Moffatt: Body Remembers, Katie West: Clearingand Thought Patterns: Selected Works from the Collection, as well as the TarraWarra Collection, and gain a deeper insight into the works on show at pop-up museum tours.

It’s all going down this weekend – don’t miss this amazing opportunity to get an all-access pass to this cultural gem!
