The completely free, completely digital program for Sydney Design Week 2021 is going ahead this September – this time as a totally new online offering. The two-day Design Summit will consist of live-streamed panel discussions and be held on 16th-17th September.

Local and international designers such as David Flack, Yasmine Ghoniem and Adam Markowitz will discuss this year’s theme of ‘Hyperconnectivity’ through discussions on digital design, the contemporary workplace as a community, pandemic-responsive design and more. A special discussion on small-footprint living in high-density zones will even be presented live from the M+ Museum in Hong Kong!

Other panellists include Gary Chang, Ronan Bouroullec, Lindsey Adelman, Marc Newson and Jonathan Zawada.

Once galleries are permitted to re-open to the public, the flagship Sydney Design Week exhibition will take place at The Powerhouse Museum. Graphic Identities will explore pivotal moments in Australia’s modern design history through the work of eight renowned 20th century designers. Huge!
