The full lineup for the 20th Sydney Design Festival has been released, and oh boy, it’s GOOD! Presented by the Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences, the Festival celebrates excellence in design and creative practice with over 100 programs, exhibitions, installations, talks, workshops, and tours.

This year’s theme, ‘CALL TO ACTION’, invites participants (both patrons and presenters) to consider the role of design in tackling complex global issues and examine the future of the industry. The star-studded Festival program features renowned experts and leaders in the fields of architecture and design from across the globe.

Highlights include modernist design aficionado (and TDF BFF), Tim Ross, who is curating his first exhibition, ‘Design Nation’, showcasing his most iconic picks of Australia’s most iconic everyday inventions (plus curator talks to accompany).

David Gianotten of the Rotterdam-based architecture firm, OMA (best known in Australia for the most recent iteration of Melbourne’s MPavilion), will share insights into OMA’s architecture philosophy and practice.

Award-winning Chinese architect and founder of standardarchitecture, Zhang Ke (whose prolific work have been likened to ‘urban micro-surgery’), will make a keynote presentation delving into his process and life in architecture.

The milestone event will take place over 10 days at various venues across the city. So, who’s up for a Sydney road trip?
