People, we have officially entered Christmas-present-buying crunch time. Luckily, you can knock your entire list out in one fell swoop this weekend at one of the biggest and best independent shopping events in the country.

Over three blockbuster days, The Big Design Market returns to the historic Royal Exhibition Centre, centrally located on the cusp of Carlton and the CBD. There will be over 250 stallholders across the homewares, kids’ gifts, fashion and lifestyle arenas, including TDF faves Kobn towels, Milligram Studio stationary, Takeawei ceramics, Abbey Seymour jewellery, Variety Hour fashion textiles and Halcyon Nights kidswear. Forgive the cliche, but there is * literally * something for everyone.

In addition to a stellar lineup of independent local makers, some of the city’s favourite food and drink vendors will be on site for a mid-shop fuel up – think dumplings from Misschu, burgers from Beatbox Kitchen, donuts from All Day Donuts and coffee from St Ali.
