Iconic Australian department store David Jones last night celebrated the launch of its refreshed furniture and homewares department in Melbourne – and boy, is it fancy!

Representing legendary local labels and internationally-renowned designer brands, this reinvigorated roster includes HAY, Great Dane, Vitra, Dinosaur Designs, Callesella, GUBI, Bolia, NAU, Menu, and Tom Dixon, all under one roof.

An exclusive collaboration with Robert Gordon Australia also sees a new range of table decor pieces and dinnerware created in Melbourne, by the family-owned and operated pottery.

TDF’s founder and editor Lucy Feagins kicked off the new home collection launch with an industry event last night, bringing together respected Australian design figures including Anton Assaad from Great Dane, Louise Olsen of Designer Designs, Adam Goodrum, Richard Munao of Cult Design and NAU, and David Jones’ General Manager of Home and AV, Yvonne Stinson. In the spectacular new Bourke Street furniture and homewares space, the panel talked design philosophy, seasonal trends, and the importance of longevity in design.

The David Jones new designer furniture department is exclusive to Level 3 Bourke Street, Melbourne David Jones (Men’s building) and online at www.davidjones.com/furniture.
