This evening from 7pm, one of Melbourne’s most dynamic creative spaces, Schoolhouse Studios, will open sales on its first ever fundraising exhibition.

The showcase is a unique opportunity for art lovers to see (and buy) the work of talented local artists, spanning a variety of mediums – painting, photography, printmaking and sculpture.

Among the line-up of creatives are Brendan Huntley, Elizabeth Barnett, Laith McGregor, Eugenia Lim, Rob McHaffie, Esther Stewart and Jake Walker, to name but a few.

‘This fundraiser will help Schoolhouse Studios continue to create a space to play, inspire and grow creative practices in Melbourne,’ said Alice Glenn, Co-Director. ‘We are thrilled to bring together 40 works by some of the city’s most incredible contemporary emerging and established artists – this is going to be a massive feast for art lovers,’ added Co-Director Hazel Brown.

School House Studios provides affordable and inclusive workspaces for emerging artists and creative businesses, as well as to engage the public through innovative arts events and programs. Thanks to the generosity of participating artists, all funds raised will go towards the operational costs and sustainability of the organisation in years to come.
