If there was ever an affirmation of Melbourne’s CBD resurgence after a couple of challenging years, it’s this beautiful new Readings store in Emporium – the eighth in the independent bookshop’s Melbourne network.

Designed by Kerstin Thompson Architects, the 300 square metre space is filled with natural light that filters through the heritage windows overlooking Little Bourke Street. Ambience Lighting designed the light fittings, and the children’s area is characterised by a huge mural by Kat McLeod. So cute!

With in-built joinery seating, reading nooks and tall ceilings that retain their industrial character, this space is good enough to live in!

AND it’s open now, so make like we do an shop local this Christmas.

Readings Emporium is located at Emporium Melbourne, 287 Lonsdale Street.

Opening Hours (there are extended hours in the lead-up to Christmas)
Monday – Wednesday, 10am – 7pm
Thursday – Friday, 10am – 8pm
Saturday – Sunday, 10am – 7pm
