This Saturday, MPavilion will be hosting a day-long symposium about the ways we can create spaces with more considered inclusivity and accessibility for queer communities across the design, architecture and literary worlds.

Presented by literary journal The Lifted Brow and Monash University’s XYX Lab, Queer Some Space has an impressive lineup of speakers like Timothy Moore (Sibling Architecture’s co-founder), Naomi Stead (award-winning architect/landscape architect), Jax Jacki Brown (disability and LGBTIQA+ rights activist) and a keynote event from Simona Castricum (musician, writer and architecture academic).

Over a program of four discussion-based events throughout the day, topics covered will include how architecture can encourage more inclusivity in our everyday lives, how literature can create accessible spaces for self-expression, and the redistribution of power in the arts. Following the chats, there will be music events ‘til 10pm!
