The annual Portarlington Mussel Festival is back for its 12th year this Saturday, January 13th!

This one-day festival is set against the backdrop of picturesque Portarlington on the Bellarine Peninsula, which is FAMOUS for its mussels.

This community-building event initially started as a street festival in 2007, and over a decade later has grown to include over 100 food and drink stalls, free cooking demonstrations (with, you guessed it…a whole lotta mussels), live music, and wine and beer tasting.

Run entirely by volunteers, over the last decade the event has contributed over $140,000 back into the community and is a great excuse to head down the coast with the fam (FYI, there’s a ferry that runs directly between Docklands and Port Arlington!).
