A good indication that it’s almost the end of the year is when men all about town start rocking the moustache in its various forms. Yep, we’re talking about Movember, the month dedicated to raising funds and promoting awareness about men’s physical and mental health issues. And on the eve of November 1st, the team over at Studio Local are hosting a very special event to prep faces for prime mo-growing conditions!

Studio Local (the photography/events studio started by stylist Stephanie Stamatis) have teamed up with Pickings and Parry for the Movember Shave Down to offer haircuts and clean shaves at the studio to those preparing for MO growing season. Local liquor legends The Everleigh will be running a charity cocktail bar with all proceeds going towards Movember. They’ll be serving up the ‘Have It All Spritz’ (a twist on a trusty Aperol Spritz), the Americano, plus classic cocktails like the Negroni, Old Fashioned, Coffee House, as well as soft drinks and beers from Stomping Ground. Shannon Bennett’s ethical burger outpost Benny’s Burger Truck will also be on site for a good feed on the night.

The Studio Local gang will also be hosting an epic raffle with prizes generously provided by supporters including Tokyobike, Pickings and Parry, The Everleigh, Homecamp, IE Francis, Henson and Happy Valley Bookstore.
