Anna Spiro is the doyenne of maximalist Australian interiors. Over two decades in the interiors industry, Anna has refined her bold aesthetic through a remarkable balancing act of clashing prints and statement furniture pieces (she’s pretty partial to a busy wallpaper!). She is the founder of Anna Spiro Design, co-founder of Anna Spiro Textiles, and now a second-time author!

A Life In Pattern is a new book that gives insight into the designer’s style and process. Through tours of 20 stunning projects, Anna gives advice on how to nail the ‘concept’ phase of a design, collaborating with other creatives on a new space, an mixing old pieces with new.

Her wisdom is illustrated by 250 photographs of her rich, colourful interiors from Sorrento to Stradbroke Island. The linen cover drawn by Anna herself makes the tome a design object in its own right!

A Life In Pattern by Anna Spiro is published by Thames & Hudson Australia, and is out now online and in-store. Purchase a copy here.

The collaboration award is supported by Thames and hudson
