Lindsay magazine puts a magic spin on whatever they turn their hands to…and the launch of their fourth issue is no exception!
The soon-to-be-launched fourth issue of the Melbourne-based publication features two major stories the launch party will draw upon – a journey through Morocco’s Honey Highway, and a visit to Parisian ateliers – this couture-themed gala combines the glamour of The Great Gatsby with Marie Antoinette-worthy tasty treats. Hosted in The Windsor’s Grand Ballroom this is Melbourne’s answer to a mini Met Gala!
In addition to the visual spectacle, there will be plenty of treats to elegantly nibble on. The Windsor have collaborated with local beekeeping collective Honey Fingers on spectacular spread of honeycomb with perfectly-paired cheeses, and Julia Busuttil Nishimura herself will be creating the burnt honey and thyme ice cream from her famed Ostro cookbook. Of course, no gala would be complete without the effervescence of bubbles, provided by Yering Station, Sample and Capi.
The dress code is ‘to impress’ – think beads, embroidery, lace, pleats and florals, with your very-best ‘couture’ spin. Issue four of Lindsay steps behind the scenes into the world of hand embroidery and delicate flowers of Chanel, Dior and Givenchy, and this gala celebrates this artisan culture (although don’t fear, creative op shop dressing is thoroughly encouraged!). Tickets are available online for $55, and include all of the above as well as a copy of the newly launched Lindsay magazine.
