As the end of 2020 is in sight, an OTT celebration is really just what the doctor ordered.

Craft Victoria is delivering just that for the suite of artisanal makers it supports, hosting a moody and maximalist exhibition that brings together the art created over a year of restrictions by local ceramicists, jewellers, glassmakers, weavers, stone masons and furniture makers.

The Craft Victoria space has been completely transformed into an opulent, moody setting, with dramatic tablescapes and richly imagined rooms adorned with exhibited works. Each curated tableau features a mixture of work from Craft Victoria’s practitioners, amounting to more than 50 emerging and established makers spread across the exhibition spaces.

Highlights include a healing weave mat by master weave and Taungurung and Wurundjeri woman Cassie Leatham, and an enormous tapestry designed by Rollin Schlicht and woven by the Australian Tapestry Workshop – plus TDF friends like Ella Bendrups, Grace Brown of Oh Hey Grace, Jan Vogelpoel Liam Fleming and Kirsten Perry. If the incredible pictures are anything to go by, we can’t WAIT to get down and check it out!
