This week is the last chance to see pieces by the renowned Hermannsburg Potters on display as part of Alcaston Gallery’s ‘Liyalhama – Music‘ exhibition, in Melbourne. Don’t miss this delightful showcase of iconic terracotta pots, made using a traditional hand-coil technique.
Pieces on display feature depictions of Indigenous musicians, concert performances, visiting community bands and songs, which are all based around the artists’ personal experiences and memories of music.
Exhibiting artists include: Rahel Kngwarriya Ungwanaka, Rona Panangka Rubuntja, Hayley Panangka Coulthard, Anita Mbitjana Ratara, Beth Mbitjana Inkamala and Caroline Kamaarra Forbes.
