There has surely been no cookbook more prolific in Australia in the past few years than Ostro by Julia Busuttil-Nishimura. Every day it seems like the breeze of Ostro (the Italian word for a warm wind) has floated into hearts and kitchens all around the world, with devotees proudly posting photos of their cookbook creations every day.
Next month Ostro comes to life at Neptune, when the Windsor restaurant recreates a selection of Julia’s personal favourites from the cookbook. Julia will share the origins of her soul food philosophy at the exclusive, one-night-only event, offering a rare opportunity to hear from the effervescent lady herself, while eating her food.
Tickets include a four-course meal from Ostro with matched wines, as well as a selection of Neptune’s own Mediterranean menu, inspired by Julia’s approachable cuisine and penchant for all-things seasonal. Bon appetit!
