Last week, a second wave of speakers was added to an already stellar lineup for the groundbreaking (or glass-ceiling-shattering!) All About Women festival at the Sydney Opera House. Held on March 10th following International Women’s Day (March 8th), the day-long event features a program dedicated to discussions on gender, justice, and equality.

Julie Bishop (Liberal Federal Member for Curtin); Linda Burney (ALP Federal Member for Barton); and Sarah Hanson Young will appear together for Leading While Female, a panel moderated by Jacqueline Maley of The Sydney Morning Herald. The three senior Federal Members of Parliament will discuss into their worlds as women within Australian Parliament, offering insight into how we can encourage more women to get involved in politics in the future.

Another big political name on the lineup is Tina Tchen, former Chief of Staff to First Lady Michelle Obama and Special Assistant to President Barack Obama, who will appear in conversation with author, presenter and political commentator Jamila Rizvi, discussing Tina’s career in law and politics.

Other names on the lineup of this must-see festival include author Clementine Ford, talking toxic masculinity; indigenous activist Aretha Brown on a panel discussing the future of feminism; and prolific American author and journalist Joan Morgan examining the intersection of hip hop and feminism. This is going to be seriously EPIC!
