A combination of Japanese and Italian natural fabrics, paired with local design and manufacturing, has resulted in a devout following for online brand My General Store. If you’ve been hankering to get your hands on some tactile linen and soft cotton threads, then Saturday, March 16th is your chance.

My General Store’s aesthetic as ‘simple shapes in good quality natural fabrics that can be worn time and time again,’ as owner Michelle Glew-Ross puts it. Her considered brand is driven by a desire to consume less and celebrate quality over quantity. And so carefully-selected fabrics are converted into timeless garments in Michelle’s Sydney atelier. ‘We work very closely with our makers, cutters and pattern makers, who are some of the best in the industry,’ she highlights.

The predominantly online brands’ Pop-Up store series has emerged from Michelle’s keenness to meet with customers and her love of travelling and sharing the clothing range. If you are unable to get to Melbourne this time around, fear not – check online for roaming events in the near future!
