Melbourne-based designer Beci Orpin is one of six Australian creatives to team up with T2 for a range of fairytale-inspired cup-and-saucer sets. Beci’s illustrated collection brings to life The Bear Prince, the story of a prince living under the spell of a witch, and his young wife’s quest to free him.

‘I read it many times and wrote down my favourite parts, which would also translate well visually’, Beci said of her takeaways from the tale, ‘for me this was the elements of magic and different characters in the story changing form.’

Others collaborating with T2 on this project include Marc Martin, Brolga and Alice Lindstrome, as well as the company’s in-house designers Matt Larkin and Bronnie Morgan. Each creative has drawn upon the narratives of a different fairytale to create their designs.
