Have you ever wandered past a building and wished you could see what’s inside? At The Design Files, that’s basically the story of our life!

This weekend, Ballarat’s inaugural Open House event will see 21 significant contemporary and heritage spaces open to the public. While the event have been running to great success for sticky beaks and architecture fiends in Melbourne since 2008, Open House Melbourne has teamed up with the City of Ballarat and Visit Ballarat to bring the event to the regional town for the very first time.

This two-day event offers a private contemporary houses, architecturally significant commercial and civic buildings and landscapes and best of all, it’s FREE!

Ballarat Open House runs at various locations between 10am – 4pm on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th of October. Find the full roster of Ballarat’s Open Houses here.
