‘Basic’ is a monthly series that allows participants to pick the brains of creative and professional industry leaders, hosted by co-working space 43 Derby Street and their parent company JAC&.

Featuring a different speaker on the last Thursday of every month, ‘Basic’ aims to open up conversations about what people do and how they do it. The idea was initially sparked by 43 Derby Street/JAC& founder, Jacinta Lippold, who spent 10 years working for herself, and wondering how everyone else was doing it! ‘We want to give people the chance to actually ask the “dumb” questions they’ve always wanted to ask, and to learn from those who have done really well for themselves,’ tells Jacinta.

The first of the hour-long sessions kicks off later this month and will be hosted is weaver extraordinaire, Maryanne Moodie, who has established a thriving career and following both locally and internationally. Other speakers on the lineup going forward will include, business coach and mentor Jo Hook, Free to Feed founder Loretta Bolotin, Modern Times owners Joel and Amy Malin and Cassie Bone of Hound & Bone Fine Art Printers.

Tickets to Maryanne’s ‘Basic’ session are on sale! For ticket sales and more information visit 43derbystreet.com/upcoming.
