The arts community is always chronically underfunded, but it’s been hit especially hard in the past year where continual disruptions and sporadic lockdowns have delayed exhibitions, festivals and major art fairs.

Artist-run, not-for-profit gallery in the Nicholas Building, Blindside, has been hosting its B-Side fundraiser for years to raise money for its community, and this year the funds are particularly important to stimulate the local institution while it recovers from the pandemic.

Over seven days, works by more than 100 local contemporary artists will be for sale. Emerging and established practitioners alike will be represented, such as Tai Snaith, Ella Dunn and Henry Trumble. Embroidered caps by Stanislava Pinchuk, Jason Phu and Sanja Pahoki are available for pre-order, so if you can’t stretch to an artwork right now, get your merch on to support the cause!

The entire fundraiser will be held online. Sales open at 6pm, Thursday October 21st. See all the info here.
