It’s that wonderful time of year where pottery studios across Australian welcome the public for Australian Ceramics Open Studios (ACOS)!

This year is the largest ACOS event to date, with 167 studios around the country taking part across the two days. The general public is invited to enter these studios, take part in workshops, watch demonstrations, listen to artist talks, and purchase original ceramics.

Among the studios opening their doors is Northcote Pottery Supplies. This studio will be hosting an artist market on Saturday, with items for sale from regular customers Togetherness Design, Min Pin, Pey Chi, Canvas & Clay by Karin, Mark Farrar, Ria Green, Lucinda Florence, Froni Binns, Hanging Rock Studio, Hello Tomato Studio, Shuh, Unagi Boy Clay, and Shelby Sherritt Art. Visitors can also enjoy children’s clay activities throughout the day, shop a selection of discounted wares, or sign up for a free hour-long ‘Try the Wheel’ session.

Australian Ceramics Open Studios is hosted by The Australian Ceramics Association to highlight the diverse practices of Australian clay artists working today. Entry to all studios over the weekend is free.
