Want to fancy-up your gifts without breaking the bank this holiday season? Illustrator and lettersmith Jess Cruickshank has got the goods.

For the month of November, Jess is offering gift tags, personalised with a name or word for a Christmas Calligraphy Drive with all proceeds going towards the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre. After going ‘a little nuts’ buying nibs and ink to practice calligraphy techniques, the artist, represented by Jacky Winter, hatched a plan to use her skills as the basis for a fundraising project.

‘Like many other Australians, I am appalled by the way our government has treated asylum seekers,’ Jess explains, ‘the work the ASRC does is more important than ever, and I’m excited that I can support them in a small way.’

Jess advises that orders can take around 1-3 weeks to create, and 3-5 to post. For more information visit the Christmas Calligraphy Drive
