One of Brisbane’s most iconic galleries is reaching double digits, and is celebrating with a very special 10th-anniversary exhibition!

At the height of the Global Financial Crisis in 2008, Edwina Corlette established a small contemporary art gallery. In a time where many arts and culture initiatives were forced to close their doors, Edwina Corlette Gallery set about ‘offering Brisbane a fresh space to view the work of up and coming artists from across Australia’. Not only did the New Farm-based gallery make it through this unstable time, they have managed to elevate many of their artists to achieve significant success over the past decade!

Edwina Corlette’s artists across Australia and the Asia-Pacific have been placed in some of the region’s most important collections such as the National Gallery of Australia (Mark Whelan) and the Queensland Art Gallery & Gallery of Modern Art (Vipoo Srivilasa). Artists represented by the gallery have also amassed prestigious accolades, including having won and been finalists in the Archibald and Wynne Prizes, and received the Brett Whiteley Travelling Art Scholarship (Amber Wallis, Belem Lett, Lucy O’Doherty, Sally Anderson).

Works on show in this anniversary exhibition come from artists including Sally Anderson, Miranda Skoczek, Vipoo Srivilasa, Julian Meagher, and many more from the gallery’s roster.

Congratulations Edwina Corlette team – here’s to 10 more incredible years!
