Featuring the works of 14 Australian artists, Sydney’s Saint Cloche gallery opens their beautiful new group show, CASA, in Paddington tonight. Inspired by the mid-century French sculptor Valentine Schlegel, CASA explores notions of home that extend beyond the physical environment.

In gentle hues from tawny brown to soft violet, the works in CASA are a harmonious balance of paintings, ceramics, and sculptural pieces, as much about the mood created by a sense of home as the things in it. It’s the same feeling you get from walking through the door and having a drink after a long week, or lying back on freshly-washed sheets in a clean bedroom with the window open.

Curated by Saint Cloche director Kitty Wong, the lineup for this 2018 finale show handpicks a really exciting selection of artists from across Australia with art at accessible price points. There are paintings by Heath Newman, Hannah Nowlan, Evi O, and Carissa Karamarko; ceramics by Kelly Murphy, Asahi So and Natalie Rosin, sculptures Carol Crawford and Tracey Deep, and more! If you’re in Sydney, don’t miss out on this incredible show.
