Local filmmakers General Strike have teamed up with celebrated designer and artist Beci Orpin to produce a very special Christmas animation to take over the heart of the city. ‘A Christmas Tale’ is an utterly charming story reflecting the sights and sounds of a classic Australian Christmas – a fusion of influences from wintery European tradition, a biblical story from the Middle East, and Aussie summer holidays at the beach. The captivating tale is set to an original score designed by Melbourne-based Electric Dreams Studio.

The 10-minute animation was designed specifically for Federation Square’s new digital facade and will screen nightly from December 6th in the lead up to Christmas. This might be one of the cutest things we’ve seen all year!
