Taking place in the Apartment, a multidisciplinary space curated by Lauren Li and her team at Sisällä, the combination of Maegan Brown’s epic photographs in After—Form and this stylish setting elevates both to new levels.

Exploring enduring landscapes through an aesthetic perspective, Maegan’s photographic work covers prehistoric terrains formed over 150 million years ago. Taken throughout Death Valley National Park and the Mojave Desert, After—Form is as striking as it is peaceful. The powerful images depict dramatic environments – crumbling ochre rock forms are contrasted against an empty sky and threatening black mountains overlook enormous sand dunes. Despite the sheer magnitude of each image, there’s a sense of calm in the isolation of the landscapes.

Join Maegan and the Sisällä team at the opening night on Thursday, May 3rd, from 6-9pm for celebratory drinks supplied by Gage Roads Brewing Co.
