Florals? For Valentine’s Day? Groundbreaking. But when it concerns experimental florist Hattie Molloy, it actually is.
For just one day (Valentine’s Day itself!) she will host a pop up in her Brunswick Street space. Fresh floral arrangements in a variety of sizes will be available alongside her newly-released flower T-shirts, coloured caps, a limited-edition Valentine’s print and flower sticker sheets.
With her unexpected Ikebana-style arrangements that lie ‘somewhere between floristry, sculpture and installation art’, the Melbourne floral artist’s conceptual presentations are a far cry from traditional bouquets. Nothing says ‘I love you’ like an unconventional flora curation.
