We love a good creative collaboration – and this new collection from Bundjalung artist Holly Sanders with I Love Linen is the latest addition to our Christmas lists!

Holly is a contemporary Aboriginal artist and proud Bundjalung woman, living and working on Yuin Country. Holly worked with I Love Linen founder Lauren Roe to translate her beautiful artworks that tell the stories of her culture and Country from growing up on the New South Wales North coast into this truly gorgeous range that comprises bedding for both adults and kids, aprons, table cloths, napkins, baby swaddles, picnic throws and tote bags.

The artwork that forms this collection is representative of women’s bush medicine healing – a practice that dates back many thousands of years. ‘Bush medicine healing is a way of life and still used and practiced by many First Nations women’, says Holly. ‘The various patterns and symbols scattered across the work symbolise women on Country collection berries, medicine leaves, and seeds for healing.’

What makes this collection all the more special is that 30% of all profits will be split between two very worthy organisations doing important work in the community. The first is Sisters Inside, an organisation that provides a range of counselling, legal and employment services to women and girls in the prison system and their families, which is disproportionately populated by First Nations women. The second is Remote Laundries, an Aboriginal-owned organisation that focuses on providing secure, purpose-built and free laundromats in remote communities.

It’s really wonderful to see brands giving back financially to organisations that they believe in. Nice work team!
