22 Years In The Making is a group exhibition of 17 artists, that celebrates the longevity of the James Street Gallery (established in 1997, previously known as Karingallery). Dowel Jones is presenting the show in their newly opened Richmond showroom, and the works in the exhibition include paintings, sketches and sculptures.

The pieces provide an insight into the incredible range of work produced by artists who have worked at the James Street Gallery, which provides a supported studio and gallery for adults with disabilities. These artists are partnered with creative practitioners, who offer guidance and assistance. The gallery is celebrated for creating an environment where ‘practicing artist give participants the autonomy to choose their projects and work independently, offering support skills and development where appropriate.’

This exhibition features the brilliant work of Damian Goralski, Sarah Guilfoil, Noel Gwosdezki, Rita Halabarec, Lewis Heathcote. Neil Higgins, David Learmonth, Roise Leigh. Marcus Lovell. Joel Martinez, Jabyn Parr, Sherri Russell, Gayle Sherlock, Susan Simpson, John Stewart, Morgan Tasic, and James Ward.

From small scale sketches to larger paintings and sculptures, head to the Dowel Jones Showroom for the opening of 22 Years In The Making on 20th September from 6-8pm for refreshments and viewing. And a sneaky snoop through their incredible showroom!
