Letter from the Editor
Hi guys!
We’ve had a chock-a-block week here in the TDF studio – we published 18 stories this week.. and one more to come tomorrow! There is just too much great stuff to fit in!
We kicked off the week with a mini-design guide to NYC from our editorial assistant, Sally Tabart, who spent a year-and-a-half living in the Big Apple. I tell you what, those New York street scenes really have got me craving another overseas trip!
Renowned Melbourne design studios A Friend of Mine and The Souvenir Society are the local legends behind Pattern for Yemen, a creative fundraising project we covered earlier in the week that supports families devastated by the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Yemen. Fifteen amazing artists have contributed pieces to an exclusive line of artwork of cloths available to purchase – at just $80. Such a great cause!
Yesterday we released our latest podcast episode with one of our all-time favourite foodies – the beautiful Julia Busuttil Nishimura (commonly referred to in our office as ‘Julia Ostro’). Julia shares her experience turning her passion for food into a career, and getting published – so inspiring.
Next week is another massive week on TDF! Lauren Li will be back to school us on the ‘newFrench’ look, we have another stunning Sydney home to share… and if you’ve ever wondered how graffiti artists paint those humungous FACES on the sides of buildings all over town, we get an up-close insight, with one of Melbourne’s best mural artists!
