Ever since meeting Brisbane based Helen Bayley when we photographed her home last year, I knew this lady was special. Once a lawyer, now a self-taught designer (and busy Mum), Helen has an incredible knack for creating just what the market wants, before we know we even want it!  And let me tell you, after the ONSLAUGHT of customers wanting to buy her heart-shaped vases at TDF Open House in both Melbourne and Sydney, we have seen the Lovestar hysteria first hand! It all started with the acrylic heart vases, of course.  After creating her first prototype in her basement in late 2012, these simple but universally loved wall mounted vases in vibrant translucent colours really kick-started Helen's business.  She's barely been able to keep up with demand - it seems her customers just can't get enough of them! Next up Helen came out with a variation - the watermelon vase.  SAME universal appeal, same hysteria! But never one to sit still, this year Helen has a few new creations up her sleeve, which are sure to command equal levels of enthusiasm from her loyal customers!  The Sacré-Coeur sparkle heart vase is stand-out, created using a customised acrylic Helen has developed, embedded with the most dazzling gold glitter.  It is, in all honesty, the sparkliest thing I have ever laid eyes on! Aside from her best selling acrylic vases, Helen is also super excited to be developing a small capsule collection of clothing and accessories for Summer 14/15.  She's kicking things off with her embroidered 'Cray Cray Cartable' tote bag, pictured below.   Capturing one of Helen's favourite catchphrases, this cheerful tote is another smile-inducing piece sure to win a few hearts.  Something tells me Helen is onto a winner, AGAIN!
