We featured Melbourne stationery label Poppies for Grace around this time last year - designers Alana Waterson and Sara Dickins create the sweetest range of stationery, decorations and children's party bits.  It's seriously cute stuff, and lends a lovely 'handmade' feel to any decorating or craft project. One of Poppies' most popular products are their fabulous honeycomb paper tissue balls, which come in a great range of colours and sizes.  I love them, but let's be honest, these sweet hanging paper decorations have been enjoying a very extended moment in the spotlight - we've been seeing them everywhere over the past few years, from events to editorial styling and retail display.  So, how to give this pretty decorating trend an update?  The clever girls from Poppies for Grace have done just that, with their new 'honeycomb fancies' - sweet handmade embellishments which make the prettiest complement to hanging tissue balls or helium balloons. 'Our latest range came together quite by accident, one product idea following the next, until we were literally covered in tissue paper and happiness' says Alana of this new range. 'I suppose that it's been quite a long winter for Poppies, and we needed to surround ourselves with colour. Our inspiration partly came from Confetti System and Geronimo Balloons in the USA. They inspired us to play, to get the scissors out, to hit up the craft store and go craft crazy'. Poppies for Grace will be launching their new 'fancies' alongside a bunch of other new products this week for Life Instyle in Melbourne (this Thursday August 1st - Sunday 4th).  Their new range is called Parade of Colour, and includes 'Party in a box' kits, encouraging a touch of easy customisation to their popular range of kids party favours, as well as jumbo confetti, lovely mess confetti, jumbo clear balloons filled with confetti, stationery, stickers, and a new range of super cute pop-up gift cards. Aside from showing at Life InStyle this weekend, you can also catch Poppies for Grace showcasing a new series of wedding stationery at new indie wedding show One Fine Day, on August 25th in Melbourne.
