Earlier this week Cult Design opened the doors to their newly extended and redesigned showroom in Sydney’s Chippendale, on the very same site the company was founded over two decades ago. Along with the store expansion comes the addition of eight newcomers to Cult’s offering of 35+ furniture and lighting brands, including Karakter Copenhagen and Nanimarquina, along with Zanotta, Tecno, Vipp, Louis Poulsen, Montana and Design Letters.

In addition to this, the Cult showroom has doubled in size, taking over an adjacent building and launching NAU Gallery. The lofty 220sqm space showcases Cult’s own Australian-created collection of furniture and lighting, NAU,  which you may have seen as part of TDF Open House last year! Designed by Melbourne architecture studio DesignOffice, the new showroom optimises natural light, easy navigation, whilst offering stronger street presence with a respect for the existing streetscape.

As if that wasn’t enough for one birthday party, Cult has also launched their ‘Icons of Design’ book. This limited edition box set contains a 20-page lookbook and cards, highlighting the timeless elegance of the 24 core brands within the Cult Collection.

Happy birthday Cult, we can’t imagine what your 21st is going to be like!
