Don’t you think it’s weird that we stick stickers on our fruit? Or that we buy our veggies encased in cellophane bags? Alice Oehr does. In fact, she’s created a whole body of work about it. Her debut solo exhibition ‘Freshly Wrapped’ explores the foam padded, cling-wrapped exteriors of our fresh produce, that city kids have come to see as a second skin.

Alice tells the story of fresh produce and plastic across a collection of silk-screened prints. In her signature style, everything is bright. And colourful. And cute! How does she manage to make food look so adorable?

It’s all going down tomorrow night at Lamington Drive (the Jacky Winter Gallery),  from 6pm – 9pm. See you there?
