Today we head to Brooklyn and meet the pair behind Fredericks and Mae, where Nat completed her second New York internship! Today is also the last day for you to go into the draw to win this week's giveaway from Third Drawer Down, simply leave a comment on any of Nat's posts before 10.00pm tonight. The winner will be drawn at random and announced tomorrow - good luck! - Jenny x

Some of Fredericks and Mae's products and supplies. These beautiful tassels and arrows are available from Third Drawer Down!

Fredericks and Mae’s studio was super different to Confetti System’s. They work from the basement of their Brooklyn apartment. It is so kooky and has so much character - just like Gabe and Jolie of Fredericks and Mae. They were both amazingly nice and introduced me to turkey, which I hate, but it was a nice try. American people love turkey, it's so weird?!?

I was only in their studio for a short amount of time but I learnt a lot about their little studio and how it came to be. Actually, what I noticed with both Confetti System and Fredericks and Mae is that they came to working on these businesses quite naturally. Making things for friends that others see, or simply making things for themselves and getting a great response so they just kept doing that and look where they are now!

They had sourced Mongolian horse hair for their beautiful tassels and bird feathers from across the globe their unique arrows. All of their work is again made by hand which is a similarity not many studios in New York can claim, I just so happened to be working with two of the best!
