What a wonderful week we've had with Madeleine Stamer! Thank you to beautiful Maddi for such an insightful week looking into Día de los Muertos and for offering 2 amazing giveaways as well (you still have time to enter- check out the details here!). Thank you also to everyone who left comments throughout the week and shared stories of their experiences and loved ones. - Jenny x

It’s no secret that Melbournians are a little spoilt for choice when it comes to authentic Mexican gastronomy. No, I’m not talking about the drippy-melted-cheese-with-shredded-meaty-bits type restaurants, I’m talkin’ real deal authentic Mexican cuisine.

Top of my list is uber cool Mamasita! Don’t get your wires crossed with the raunchy chica minx that might appear on your next google image search. No siree, Mamasita stands for proper good authentic Mexican cuisine, the spicy way (plus tamer options for the not so jalapeno adventurous like myself)

If you haven’t had the pleasure of feasting at Mamasita then today’s your lucky day! My generous compadres at Mamasita have a $100 dinner for two gift voucher giveaway for one lucky Melbourne based Design Files reader!!! I’m totally flipping out with the excitement! You have until midnight tonight to leave a comment on any of this weeks posts and the winner will be drawn at random- good luck amigos!

*UPDATE- Thanks again to everyone for the wonderful comments this week!! The lucky winners have been drawn at random and Madeleine Stamer's 'Sweet Calavera' print is going home with Janelle P and the Mamasita $100 voucher was won by Erin S! Thanks again to Maddi and Mamastia for their generous giveaways!

If you’re hitting the streets of Melbourne keep your ear to the ground, finger on the pulse and nose in the air and you’ll be transmogrified into Taco Truck territory. Fresh Mex on wheels!

Another noteworthy resource is Melbournian Daniella Germain’s recipe book My Abuela’s Table. It’s a must have for the lovers of spice and all things nice. Compiled and illustrated with love.

Muchas Gracias for welcoming me into your world during this week of Dia de los Muertos festivities.

Saludos! -Madeleine xo
